We all commonly face challenges and issues that are difficult to manage alone. Whether it is dealing with relationship conflicts, self-esteem issues, sadness, worries, anger, or any other life challenge, being able to face and overcome these obstacles is a process towards improving your quality of life. Therapy can be a very effective agent in helping you work through different issues in order to achieve a healthier approach to the way you think, make decisions, and relate to others. In many respects, therapy is an investment in yourself. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand challenges you face today and develop ways to cope with challenges that may arise in the future.

Seeking support from a therapist requires great strength and courage. Regardless of what is prompting you to seek therapy, finding a therapist that fits your needs and personality is one of the most important factors to achieving progress in therapy. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself to see if what I share resonates with you.

 I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked in the field of mental health for over 6 years. During that time, I have worked extensively with children, teens, adults, and families experiencing a myriad of issues that obstruct their happiness. My approach to therapy is to join with you and work together to explore the issues that are making it difficult for you to thrive. I believe that therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance so that you feel comfortable, relaxed, and secure.

I understand that therapy can often be confusing or difficult, and the journey towards our destination is very rarely a straight line. However, by providing a collaborative, supportive, and empowering space, I will help you navigate through life’s roadblocks and move towards a new direction in your life. Every person is different and faces different challenges. For that reason, I use an eclectic approach towards therapy, tailoring treatment depending on the presenting issue(s) and personality of the client. I have experience working with clients using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Play Therapy.
 
My hope is that you are able to work through whatever life issues you are currently facing and move towards a happy and healthy life. My Background

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at California State University, Long Beach. I obtained my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. During my studies, I worked extensively with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. After obtaining my graduate degree, I have worked in community mental health, providing services to children, adolescents, families, and adults. I am trained in multiple evidence based practices (EBP’s), including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, and Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP).
