Throughout my time as a clinician, I have provided therapy to individuals (adults and adolescents), families, and couples. I have received various training in providing therapy to different populations and have been supervised by a number of licensed therapists that have had different sets of skills and experiences which only enhanced my own work. I have worked primarily in community mental health settings where I have come across a range of mental health needs. Most of my experience as a therapist has centered around substance use. I have worked both in inpatient and outpatient substance abuse programs providing individual, couple, family, and group therapy services to clients participating in the substance abuse rehabilitation program. I have a vast knowledge of the 12 step community program and the value in combining program and mental health treatment to overcome addiction.
I also have I was trained as a Multidimensional Family Therapist (MDFT) where I worked with adolescents who were struggling with substance use, delinquent behaviors, family issues, and emotional/behavioral issues. I am currently working with the San Bernardino City Unified School district, providing mental health services to students within the district. I work closely with school counselors and administration to provide integrated care for the students. I have been trained in Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy for PTSD, Seeking Safety, and Triple P Positive Parenting.

For over 10 years I have provided therapy to individuals, families, and couples. I have extensive experience and specialize in providing therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, as well as families with various mental health/behavioral difficulties. I also have experience providing therapy to adults, as well as couples with various mental health/behavioral difficulties.
Prior to working as I therapist I worked for over 19 years with children and adolescents. Most of this work was in the public/private/juvenile hall school systems, especially with special education, "Emotionally Disturbed", magnet program, and general education students. My work experience also includes the following: Group therapy to college age young adults, and high school students with Asperger Syndrome. I also provided behavior modification services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Down Syndrome. Lastly I have extensive experience collaborating with schools via IEP and school meetings, all to advocate for a child's mental health related needs.
I have worked as a therapist mostly in community mental health agencies in both the San Fernando Valley, and San Gabriel Valley area, yet I also worked in conjunction with the public school system (Las Virgenes Unified School District, and California State University school system.) to provide student's with in-school counseling. While working with the Las Virgenes School District I also spent 1 year as a School Psychologist intern performing various services for current, as well as potential special education students. I am trained in multiple evidenced based practices (EBP's)/treatment, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/TF-CBT, Seeking Safety, and the Triple-P Positive Parenting Program.
