Prior to working as I therapist I worked for over 19 years with children and adolescents. Most of this work was in the public/private/juvenile hall school systems, especially with special education, "Emotionally Disturbed", magnet program, and general education students. My work experience also includes the following: Group therapy to college age young adults, and high school students with Asperger Syndrome. Lastly I have extensive experience collaborating with schools via IEP and school meetings, all to advocate for a child's mental health related needs.
I have worked as a therapist mostly in community mental health agencies in both the San Fernando Valley, and San Gabriel Valley area, yet I also worked in conjunction with the public school system (Las Virgenes Unified School District, and California State University school system.) to provide student's with in-school counseling. While working with the Las Virgenes School District I also spent 1 year as a School Psychologist intern performing various services for current, as well as potential special education students.
